The prime minister has responded, acknowledging our concerns and the Government’s commitment to allow pastoral support (including prayer) and desire not to criminalise normal non-coercive activities. The prime minister also thanked member churches for all that they have contributed during the pandemic, highlighting his recent visit to a pop-up vaccination centre at Jesus House church in Brent, north-west London. We will continue to work with the Government to honour its commitments to end harmful practices while protecting spiritual support.
